What Happens Next
Once you've signed up to take your IAM Advanced Riding test, you become an 'Associate member'.
All Associates are placed on our waiting list to be allocated to one of our qualified 'Local Observers'.
Once allocated, the Associate and the Observer communicate directly to organise regular observed rides to practice riding to the ‘System’ and gain the skills required to pass the IAM Advanced Riding test.
When you are ready, you will be put forward for a 'Pre-Test' with one of our qualified ‘National Observers’, which is arranged at a time suitable for them, you and your Observer.
When the National Observer confirms you are 'Test Ready' you will be put forward for the 'IAM Advanced Riding' test with a qualified 'IAM Examiner', which will take approximately an hour and a half (including de-brief) and is included in the cost of your initial Skill for Life package fee.
When you pass the IAM Advanced Riding test, you will receive a certificate from the IAM and then become a 'Full member' of ESAM.
From the time you join you become an Associate Member of the IAM/ESAM, which ensures you receive all the information on our social events such as regular local rides, seasonal trips out and abroad, further training, offers and discounts.
